a few answer on Mandela

Mandela was raised to be a leader who would help to resolve problems by treating people with
love and respect, even his enemies. He saw it as his responsibility to change the practices of
an enemy ( like Gandhi). He was big on forgiveness too., but that still doesn't explain, so more later.
He must have had the capacity to not-get-hooked when guards threw out their nets of hatred.

Ram Dass used to talk about people always throwing out their nets of who they are , who you are,
etc, etc, and would say, "if you get caught, that's your problem". Most of us get caught on rejection
instead of seeing that the one who is doing the rejection is the one with the problem. We are
loveable and when a person is rejecting, it says more about them then the one they reject.
The process also mean that when we are unloving or rejecting the trouble is in us.
