Endogenous morphines

Or, in other words, Endorphins= chemicals released by the brain thru peptides ( made up of amino acids).

Opiate Receptors= chemicals that receive opiates

After the auto accident , it was about 6 hours before the pain kicked in at the hospital.  The nurses were hooking me up to a morphine delivering system before I felt any pain. Explanation:
Adrenalin causes natural opiates to be released. For a time, the body makes and delivers its own morphhine.  Opiate receptors have been found in the immune system,
the endocrine system, and throughout the body. In fact,
opiate receptors are on the surface of every cell in your body.
